Recover SanDisk Micro SD Card Deleted Data

Even if users are not familiar with SanDisk Micro SD Cards, recovering deleted photos from them can be a simple process. We’re here to guide users through it step by step. In this blog, there are multiple ways mentioned to get back files.

Procedure 1: Recycle Bin

If you deleted the files while the SanDisk Micro SD card was connected to your computer, the files might be in the Recycle Bin or Trash.

Open the Recycle Bin/Trash and look for the deleted files.

Right-click the file(s) and select “Restore” (Windows) or “Put Back” (macOS) to return them to their original location.

Procedure 2: BLR Data Recovery Tool

Step 1. In the PC choose the data storage devices (SanDisk Micro SD Card) and scan.

Download and install BLR data recovery tool and choose users SD card (remember to connect SanDisk Micro SD Card to users device before). Tap on the “Scan” button.

Step 2. Locate and Select lost SanDisk Micro SD Card files.

After completing the scanning process, users can locate lost files that they want to recover. Users also use filter feature to find their files better.

Step 3. Preview and recover lost files

You can double-click the files you want to recover to preview. Then, click the “Recover” button to choose a safe location to save the recovered files. You can choose either local drive or cloud storage.

Procedure 3: Search for Temporary Files

Sometimes, deleted files leave behind temporary versions or fragments.

For Windows:

Open the file explorer and search for files with extensions like .tmp or .chk in the SD card’s directory.

Procedure 4: Use Command Prompt (Windows)

Connect your SD card to the computer.

Open Command Prompt by typing cmd in the Windows search bar and pressing Enter.

Type chkdsk X: /f (replace X with the drive letter of your SD card) and press Enter.

Once the process is complete, type attrib -h -r -s /s /d X:\*.* (again, replace X with the drive letter) and press Enter.

This command will unhide any files that were hidden.

Procedure 5: Check for Auto-Backups

If you had automatic backups enabled (e.g., using Google Photos, Dropbox, or another cloud service), check those services for copies of your files.

Also, check any other devices synced with the SD card for possible copies of the deleted files.
